Temperature assurance packaging specialist Sonoco ThermoSafe has launched a new packaging for temperature sensitive products called Envoy Direct series.
The Envoy series is designed to reduce dimensional weight, lower total shipping costs and improve operational efficiency in specialty pharmacy, mail-order pharmacy and pharmacy benefit management environments.
It also helps to maintain refrigerated temperatures for a day’s time and is tested to the ISTA 7E profile.
Based on the level of protection required, Envoy Direct series packaging will be available with either Polar Pack gel packs or Polar Pack foam bricks as refrigerants.
Sonoco business development and market manager Marianne Hoonakker-Kelly said: "The Envoy Direct line of temperature-controlled solutions was designed in accordance with market feedback.
"The refrigerant component configurations remain the same for all seasons, which simplifies the assembly.
