With a new digital printing machine, operators can use existing inventory of plate cylinders and dies instead of an expensive off-line servo driven die-cutter/slitter re-winder.

The machine features CDT 1600-PC Retrofit digital label and tag printing platform, offering high print quality, fast job production, and low equipment cost.

Powered by Memjet, the CDT digital printing press runs at speeds up to 200ft per minute at 1600×1200 dots per inch.

With the upgrade programme, operators can print small jobs digitally and add full colour variable data to traditional analog processes, avoiding set-up expenses.

Operators can queue and run multiple jobs in the same run and change copy (part numbers, logos, sequential numbers) at any point before production, with Retrofit’s just-in-time printing solutions.

Styers Equipment president Justin Styers described the CDT Digital Flexo-bility upgrade as "truly revolutionary".
