US packaging manufacturer Temkin has unveiled its new modified atmosphere packaging technology with single layer wicketed bags.

The company said the bags have optional hermetic seals and laser microperforation technology and will extend the shelf life of fresh produce.

They also include optional zippers, bottom gussets and a variety of wicket styles.

Joe Bradford, Temkin sales manager, said the improvement helps deliver cost savings that place controlled atmosphere packaging within reach of lower-margin goods.
