Tetra Pak has invested approximately €30m to upgrade its packaging material converting facility in Denton, Texas, US.
The investment will be used to install a new laminator, which will allow the company to fulfill the growing demand for different packaging formats in the US and Canada.

The new laminator optimises output and offers improved operation flexibility. It is expected to commence full production by the end of next year.
Tetra Pak US and Canada president and CEO Carmen Becker said: “Tetra Pak is pleased to make these upgrades, which will position our Denton factory as one of the most advanced in our global operations.
“This new technology will allow us to produce an expanded portfolio of packages out of this facility and better serve our customers.
The company will also be able to shift some production to the new Denton facility from its Mexican unit to streamline logistical process and reduce lead times.

The Denton facility converts layers of base materials such as paperboard, aluminium and polyethylene into rolls of aseptic packaging material, as well as prints paperboard.
The new laminator will be used to apply polyethylene layers, laminating printed material and aluminium together.
