US-based packaging solution provider Kush Bottles has introduced a new certified, child-resistant pop-top bottle for use in the legal cannabis industry.

Produced in California, US, and available in four different sizes, the new re-closable bottle range can be used to pack flower and edibles.

It can also be used as secondary packaging for concentrates and other cannabis products requiring child-resistant packaging.

"We’ve made some key enhancements that will allow customers to take advantage of automated labelling technology."

Kush Bottles CEO Nick Kovacevich said: “This bottle is similar to a product we’ve been selling for six years and that the industry is very familiar with, but we’ve made some key enhancements that will allow customers to take advantage of automated labelling technology.

“Our decision to manufacture this bottle locally also gives us a huge advantage when it comes to quality control and minimising the carbon footprint of each bottle.”

The company currently provides certified child-resistant and custom-branded packaging solutions in North American states that permit the sale of medical or recreational cannabis.

So far, the company has sold more than 100 million bottles across the region.

In September, Kush Bottles collaborated with US firm Acology to launch the latter’s patented MedTainer grinder / container to the legal cannabis market.

MedTainer, which is already available across the US, Canada, Latin America and Europe for pharmaceutical use, features a multi-chamber design and enables customers to store and grind cannabis in one container.
