Valmet paper business line president Jari Vähäpesola said that liquid packaging board is a growing market, and process-wise, it is one of the most demanding board grades to produce.

"We are glad that Stora Enso trusted us in this project and that we were able to provide solutions for both pulp and board production," Vähäpesola added.

Liquid packaging board is used for protecting and preserving contents, and high-level printing properties make paperboard cartons suitable for carriers as well as brand builders.

Stora Enso offers its services in the paper, biomaterials, wood products and packaging industries, while Valmet is a developer and supplier of services and technologies for the pulp, paper and energy industries.
