North American company Veritiv has completed the acquisition of All American Containers, a family-owned company that distributes plastic, glass and metal containers, as well as closures and plastic pouches.

Financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.

With this acquisition, the Veritiv’s marketing, selling and distribution channels in the US rigid packaging market is expected to be strengthened further.

Headquartered at Miami in Florida, All American Containers owns more than one million square feet of warehousing facilities strategically located in various US states, including Tampa, Atlanta, Pittsburgh, Chicago and Houston.

With nearly 260 employees, the company reported twelve month revenues of around $225m as of June.

Veritiv was formed by the combination of International Paper’s xpedx business and Unisource Worldwide in 2014.

It has about 160 operating distribution centres across the US, Canada and Mexico with a staff of 8,700 team members.
