Wisecap Group and Corvaglia Group have formed an industrial partnership that reshapes their caps and closures operations in Europe.
Wisecap will fold the caps manufacturing activities of Corvaglia Closures Eschlikon, a unit of Corvaglia Holding, into its existing European production network.

Corvaglia will, in turn, acquire a minority stake in Wisecap and contribute its injection-moulding technology and closure designs to the group.
Financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Wisecap’s current line-up includes plastic caps ranging from 26mm to 48mm in diameter, as well as aluminium closures for key beverage segments.
The companies’ collaboration gives customers a broader choice of closure solutions by combining Wisecap’s manufacturing scale and portfolio with Corvaglia’s expertise in moulding technology and design.

The combined capabilities further consolidate Wisecap’s position as one of the most comprehensive and technologically advanced producers of caps and closures.
Corvaglia will continue to focus on technology development and mould manufacturing from its Eschlikon headquarters, while Wisecap will run the combined caps production for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
The companies will maintain continuous supply for all customers presently served by Corvaglia Closures Eschlikon.
Corvaglia remains fully engaged in its global beverage closure activities and in serving customers along the whole value chain.
In Europe, this will be pursued through the new alliance with Wisecap. Corvaglia will continue to operate on a standalone basis, encompassing closure design, injection-mould production and closure manufacturing, in Mexico and the US.
Founded in 1977 and based in Piacenza, Italy, Wisecap makes plastic closures for the beverage sector. The group runs six plants across five countries – Italy, Spain, the Czech Republic, Poland and Egypt – and manufactures more than 15 billion caps annually on 80 production lines.
It supplies more than 600 customers in 50 countries and employs 300 people.
Corvaglia, established in 1991 and headquartered in Eschlikon, Switzerland, specialises in closure solutions for beverage packaging and serves a wide range of international drinks companies.
Around 20% of all PET soft drink bottles worldwide use Corvaglia closures. It operates sites in Switzerland, Mexico and the US and also employs more than 300 people.
