Based in Moline, Illinois, FCA Packaging manufactures protective packaging solutions for high-value industrial equipment.
With a network of 34 locations across the US, the company delivers engineered, custom-designed packaging products made from diverse types of material, including wood, steel, corrugated and hybrid packaging.
Its customer base includes blue-chip original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) from various end markets.
The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.

The investment comes as Wynnchurch is actively seeking investment opportunities for its $2.277bn Fund V.
The Illinois-based company has also invested in other companies engaging in various industries, including Premier Franchise Management, Appvion, Owen and Trimlite.
Stifel Financial served as the only debt placement agent for Wynnchurch during the transaction, while Lincoln International acted as FCA Packaging’s sell-side advisor.

Wynnchurch Capital manages several private equity funds, with a total of $5.3bn of regulatory assets under management.
The company specialises in recapitalisations, growth capital, management buyouts, corporate carve-outs and restructurings.
