The machine features a tilting paper carriage that operates in an upward motion, reducing paper usage and minimising folds.
YPS MD Glyn Johnson stated: “We can now offer a pallet wrapping machine that uses paper, adding to those we offer using conventional stretch wrap, so warehouse operators can choose the approach they take in their use of materials.
“The compatible paper is uncoated and has a high recycling value as a secondary material. The process uses only a small amount of glue and no other secondary packaging, such as edge protectors, keeping recycling very simple.”
A recent EUMOS test conducted at a force of 0.5g revealed that pallets wrapped in the new paper system experienced 30% less deformation compared to those wrapped in traditional plastic stretch wrap.
