Amcor has posted adjusted net income of $570m for the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2026, up 40% from $408m in the same quarter of the previous year, which it said was largely driven by the combination of plastic packaging company Berry.

Quarterly net sales totalled $6.39bn, up 26% on a reported basis.

The figure included about $962m from acquired businesses after divestitures, equivalent to roughly 19% growth.

Adjusted quarterly EBIT [earnings before interest and taxes] was $836m, 37% above the prior-year period on a reported basis. That included $96m from acquired EBIT after divestitures, representing a 15% growth.

In global flexible packaging, quarterly net sales reached $3.5bn, 16% higher than a year earlier on a constant currency basis.

In global rigid packaging solutions, quarterly net sales were $2.87bn, an increase of 35% on a constant currency basis.

Amcor CEO Peter Konieczny said: “We delivered strong operating performance in the fourth quarter despite a challenging macro environment. We drove broad-based volume growth, while effectively managing unprecedented input cost inflation. Synergy realisation came in ahead of plan, while performance in our non-core businesses improved substantially.

“Looking ahead, we are encouraged by the momentum we see across the business and the greater potential for growth and continued synergy capture following the transformative acquisition of Berry. As we complete the integration and begin to realise our potential as a global leader in consumer packaging, we remain confident in delivering on our medium and long-term commitments."

For the 12 months ended 30 June, adjusted net income was $1.8bn, up 64% from $1.13bn a year earlier.

Full-year net sales came to $23.5bn, a rise of 57% on a reported basis.

The amount included $7.9bn of acquired sales after divestitures, representing a 52% growth.

The effect of raw material cost movements passed through to customers added approximately $240m, equal to a 2% growth.

Full-year adjusted EBIT was $2.8bn, up 63% on a reported basis.

Global flexible packaging solutions recorded net sales of $12.8bn for the full year, 24% higher on a constant currency basis.

Global rigid packaging solutions posted full-year net sales of $10,677m, up 110% on a constant currency basis.

Amcor is changing its financial reporting calendar to match the calendar year ending 31 December instead of its previous year-end of 30 June.

As part of that change, the group will report a six-month "Transition Period" from 1 July 2026 to 31 December 2026.

From January 2027, the company will begin its first full 12-month reporting cycle based on the calendar year.
