The film is designed to improve product visibility on shelves by reducing fogging that can obscure contents.

Cosmo Films has introduced a new sealable, peelable transparent anti-fog BOPET (PET) lidding film intended for use in packaging refrigerated and fresh foods.

The product is designed to improve product visibility on shelves by reducing fogging that can obscure contents during storage and display.

The film features an anti-fog coating applied to the sealable side, which works to prevent the formation of condensation droplets inside packages.

The lidding film is suitable for high-speed packaging lines due to its low sealing temperature and can be used with a range of packaging materials, including PP, HIPS, PET (APET, CPET), PVC and LDPE containers.

The peelable film allows consumers to easily open packages while keeping the seal secure. It can be used in the packaging of various products, including chilled and frozen foods, fresh produce, prepared fruits and ready meals, among others.

Cosmo Films global business head Kulbhushan Malik said: “In food packaging, visibility is directly linked to consumer trust and purchase decisions. With our anti-fog transparent BOPET lidding films, we are addressing a key pain point for brands by combining condensation control with superior clarity, strong sealing performance and ease of use.

“This launch reinforces our commitment to expanding our speciality portfolio with high-performance, value-added solutions that support both product protection and brand differentiation.”

In December 2025, the company rolled out a mix of BOPP, CPP and BOPET films aimed at meeting the growing demand for food-safe packaging.
