Esko has introduced a set of new products and workflow updates for brands and packaging suppliers, according to a press release posted on WhatTheyThink.

The company said its “Spec to Pack” approach links packaging specifications, assets, workflows and production data across the packaging life cycle in a single digital system.

Esko also pointed to the further build-out of its S2 platform, which connects the company's applications, workflows and packaging data.

The updates include SmartSelect in ArtPro+ for interactive editing; ReArt for prepress work such as object replacement, trapping and marks creation; and Comply for AI-assisted artwork checks inside WebCenter and WebCenter Go covering copy, formatting, barcode data and required symbols.

A key announcement at the event was Packaging Hub, a new asset-and-specification-based capability built on the S2 platform.

The system is intended to help teams track packaging links, handle changes and reuse components through a connected record for packaging data.

Packaging Hub gives visibility over components, variants and dependencies, as well as links between assets, specifications and workflows.

It also includes AI-driven discovery and recommendations for reuse and optimisation, with less manual tracking and rework.

Esko also announced the commercial availability of the XPS Spark 4835, a digital LED plate exposure system for label converters, trade shops and flexible packaging producers.

The system replaces UV tube bank exposure systems with LED exposure technology aimed at plate consistency, simpler operation and better sustainability performance.

The XPS Spark 4835 is on display during Esko World 2026 and is now available to order globally.

Esko chief product officer Srinivas Kuppa said: “Packaging today is no longer a collection of disconnected workflows.

“With the Esko AI-enabled packaging cloud, we are creating a connected digital foundation where intelligence permeates every capability layer, helping customers move faster, ensure compliance, and deliver uncompromising quality from packaging concept to print.”
