Lecta Self‑Adhesives has announced the expansion of its self-adhesive materials portfolio with the introduction of 'Adestor Gloss GP PFAS-free', a new label solution tailored for the food packaging industry.

This product is designed to meet stringent environmental and health regulations, offering a grease-resistant label without the use of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Adestor Gloss GP PFAS-free is crafted from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) C011032-certified paper, ensuring high performance and resistance to oils and grease.

This label solution is ideal for a range of food products, including cured meats, cheeses, ready meals, and oils.

Lecta Self‑Adhesives business development and product manager director Roger Puente Vila‑Masana said: "At Lecta Self‑Adhesives, we are fully committed to developing solutions that address today's technical challenges while contributing to environmental protection.

"With Adestor Gloss GP PFAS‑free, we are taking a decisive step toward safer, more responsible labelling that meets market expectations."

The production of the Adestor range adheres to international standards such as International Standards Organization (ISO) 14001 and Eco-Management and Audit Scheme for environmental management, ISO 50001 for energy efficiency, ISO 9001 for quality, and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety.

This development follows the roll out of Creaset HGP, a coated paper with grease-resistant properties applied to one side.

Launched this April, this solution is created specifically for use in flexible packaging for modern consumer requirements.
