Natalii, a Polish label and flexible packaging company, has modernised its Nilpeter FA-17 Flexo press to improve both production speed and efficiency.

This move has resulted in a doubling of the press's operational speed and is part of Natalii's commitment to offer quality and efficiency in the competitive label manufacturing market.

Natalii, established in 1985, supplies products to various industries, including food processing, cosmetics, automotive, and pharmaceuticals. Its products are also widely exported to other EU countries.

Natalii and Nilpeter have maintained a longstanding partnership, with the installation of their first Nilpeter press, the FA-2500, in 2000, which remains operational to this day. Currently, Natalii operates a total of ten Nilpeter presses.

The recent upgrade aimed to boost the FA-17 press' speed, which previously ran at 50-55m per minute for a specific heat-shrink-sleeve job.

The integration of an additional drying unit now allows the press to feature two drying units, enabling more effective and faster drying of water-based adhesives and varnishes.

Post-upgrade, the press' end customer has approved a new shrink-sleeve job running at 120m per minute, confirming precise positioning and efficient drying of the water-based adhesive on plastic cups.

Natalii owner Artur Nowaczyk said: “This investment is an important step in ensuring, we remain at the forefront of the industry with the best possible technology.

“Nilpeter listens to our needs and works closely with us to develop solutions that help us improve efficiency, while maintaining the high quality our customers expect.

“This upgrade is a great example of how we, together, can push our production capabilities forward - and the solution works absolutely perfectly.”
