Pregis reports 55% revenue in 2025 from sustainable products

Pregis said investment in renewable energy credits last year was doubled from 2024 levels.

Pregis derived 55% of its global revenue last year from products categorised as sustainable, according to its report.

Under its definition, those products are paper-based, bio-based or made with at least 30% recycled content.

The 2025 Sustainability Report lists several other operational and environmental metrics.

Pregis said investment in renewable energy credits was doubled from 2024 levels, matching electricity use at multiple locations with wind power and leading to an estimated reduction of 11,700 metric tonnes of market-based Scope 2 emissions.

According to the report, the use of recycled fibre avoided the harvesting of 1,283,293 trees.

The company said 143,213 lives were affected through community service and philanthropic programmes in 2025.

It reported an 88% cut in operational emissions intensity against its 2019 baseline, saying this met its 2K30 goal for the sixth year in a row.

During the year, it added several products to the range it places under its sustainable category, including EasyPack Strata, PolyPlank Renew XL, IntelliPack Inspyre Film and Performance Flexibles Renew Series sealant films.

The company also opened its Paper Center of Excellence in Elgin, Illinois, US, in 2025.

The site was designed for zero-waste operations and powered by energy matched with renewable energy credits.

Pregis IQ completed 195 projects in 2025, up 18% from 2024.

Pregis CEO and chairman Kevin Baudhuin said: “The 2025 report reflects what we have built and where we are headed.

"Operational excellence and environmental responsibility are not competing priorities. They are complementary and the results we’re sharing reflect that.”
