The solutions will conform to recent market trends within the industry by using paper-based packaging over plastic.

SCREEN Graphic Solutions, a printing production systems manufacturer and supplier, will soon be launching a new series of printing solutions for the label and packaging industry.

The new solutions are scheduled to be launched at Labelexpo Europe 2023, which is being held between 11 and 14 September at the Brussels Exhibition Centre in Belgium.

SCREEN will introduce its first solution in collaboration with Nilpeter, a manufacturer of offset and combination presses.

The new digitally integrated system will comprise SCREENS’ new Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI technology and Nilpeter’s FA-Line flexographic platform.

This integrated system is hoped to address the rising demand for integrated digital printing and embellishment.

SCREENS’s Truepress unit is capable of providing up to seven digital colours and when integrated with Nilpeter’s FA-Line, the inline solution enables the efficient production of value-added labels.

SCREEN will also launch the prototype of its inline inkjet digital primer that will be used with the company’s flagship Truepress LABEL press.

Planned to be displayed during Labelexpo, the digital primer will help in meeting some of the industry's biggest challenges such as the poor ink adhesion of certain substrates in UV inkjet digital printing.

This primer has been designed to save time and resources and is fitted directly inside the Truepress LABEL 350UV SAI digital printing press to deliver superior ink adhesion and improved print quality.

The upcoming event will also provide an opportunity for SCREEN to showcase its new Truepress PAC 520P inkjet digital printing press, which has been designed for the paper packaging industry.

Truepress PAC 520P’s launch comes in response to the growing market trend of minimal plastic use in packaging by replacing it with sustainable and easy-to-recycle paper-based alternatives.

The new high-speed, water-based digital printing press can be used for paper-based packaging substrates while adhering to relevant food-safety regulations.
