munksjo storage centre

Munksjö has opened its new 9,200m² storage centre at its specialty paper mill in Rottersac, France, to further improve its customer service.

This substantially improves the logistic conditions for a high-quality customer service. The official inauguration was attended by local and regional officials, key partners together with group CEO Jan Åström and management.

Chairman of the board Peter Seligson was also present at the event.

Rottersac mill manager Thierry Chassagne said: "Located at the Rottersac mill, the new storage centre will replace external storages, allowing us to ease logistic flows, reduce carbon footprint and enable a better quality control of packaging. It further demonstrates our commitment to continuously develop our business."

President of graphics and packaging Roland Le Cardiec said: "Rottersac mill operates in a competitive environment, offering specialty papers worldwide for packaging, graphic and other industrial specialties. Investing in efficient and optimised logistics is vital to maintain a leading market position in the markets where we operate.

"This new storage centre is an additional milestone in our strategy implementation. It will be accompanied by sustainable product development, quality and customers service improvement."

The Rottersac Mill employs approximately 200 employees and is part of the business area graphics and packaging. This production site is specialised in the manufacturing of specialty papers for food and non-food flexible packaging, repositionable notes, envelop windows and other industrial applications.

In everyday life, these papers are for instance used for baking, packaging of sweets or cheese, to name a few. The site is certified according to ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007, FSC® and PEFC™ Chain-of-Custody.
