The device includes controls intended to reduce operational errors and help maintain consistent packaging standards.

By GlobalData“Motif represents our vision for pharmacy automation that adapts to these future needs, offering flexibility and precision in a compact footprint while freeing up valuable staff time for expanded clinical roles without compromising medication safety standards.”
The system can be used on its own or alongside other Swisslog Healthcare products such as AutoPack and ezCUT.
Motif was presented to pharmacy professionals at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists conference in December 2025.
Swisslog Healthcare clinical sales and channel development director Kevin Balla commented: “Even pharmacies with existing full-scale packaging systems can benefit from adding Motif to their workflow.
“It’s perfect for handling overflow, urgent prescriptions, or specialised medications without disrupting existing processes. The user-friendly interface requires minimal training, allowing staff to become proficient quickly and maintain productivity.”
According to Swisslog Healthcare, Motif is expected to support both standalone pharmacies and those seeking to expand their automation capabilities as part of larger systems.
