Operating profit for the three months grew by €4.7m against the prior-year level to €34.5m.

The result was supported by gains in earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA), together with a reduction in depreciation and amortisation charges, following non-recurring adjustments booked during the period.

EBITDA amounted to €51.9m, reflecting a €2.6m annual rise.

The EBITDA margin stood at 16.8%, down from 17% a year earlier.

Margins absorbed interim expenses stemming from the Nippon supply disruption across the Americas, though improved surcharge recovery in EMEA and incoming insurance settlements partly softened the shortfall.

Turnover within EMEA rose by 7.5%, lifted by higher customer surcharges and volume additions across both Pure Pak cartons and Roll Fed formats throughout Europe.

In the Americas, revenue climbed 5.9%, aided by persistent momentum in the aftermarket business.

Top-line expansion in the territory was nevertheless dampened by board shortages linked to the Nippon Dynawave incident, though recognised insurance settlements partially alleviated the extra expenditure, with additional claims expected.

Separately, the group confirmed that Håkon Volldal will take over as CEO on 2 November 2026.

Reinard Dreesmann has assumed the position of interim EVP Region Americas.

Elopak interim CEO Bent Axelsen said: “Our resilient results demonstrate that we can continue to drive progress and improvements through disciplined execution and a focused strategy. I am proud of how our teams have responded. We remain firmly committed to our ‘Repackaging tomorrow’ strategy and to delivering value for our shareholders”.
