The brand’s product line includes glass jars and lids that are produced by O-I France and its affiliates at plants in Puy-Guillaume, France and Sevilla, Spain.

The glass jars and lids are reusable, recyclable and feature natural and recycled rubber made orange colour seals.

The products are suitable for preserving food and lowering waste while reducing environmental impact.

Berlin Packaging Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) CEO Paolo Recrosio said: “Acquisition of the Le Parfait brand would strengthen our leadership in the glass packaging industry and further establish Berlin Packaging as the leading and trusted partner for high-quality glass containers, not only in the business-to-business (B2B) market but also in the business-to-consumer (B2C) market.”

The deal is subject to customary closing conditions and the works council consultation. It is expected to close around year-end.

The financial terms of the transaction are not disclosed.

Since 2016, Berlin Packaging has completed 17 acquisitions, including Le Parfait, in EMEA to date.

The transaction also represents the company’s seventh acquisition in the region this year.

As part of a long-term supply agreement, O-I France and its affiliates would continue to produce glass jars and lids even after Le Parfait’s acquisition.

Berlin Packaging global CEO and president Bill Hayes said: “This acquisition would allow us to continue to grow our footprint in Europe while expanding our sustainable packaging solutions across the globe.”

In June, Berlin Packaging acquired Greek glass packaging supplier Elias Valavanis.
