Herti’s GALP Greener ALuminum Cap Project

Herti started a new project, ‘GALP Greener ALuminum Cap (Implementation of green innovative production processes under Industry 4.0)’, supported by the Norway Grants 2014-2021. The management of Herti, in unison with the recommendations of the energy efficiency audit report of the manufacturing processes, intends through this project to develop and implement ‘greener’ production processes through purchasing ‘Coating and Varnishing Machine’ and ‘Printing Machine’ of the latest generation based on the ‘PrintabLED’ technology.  The project is worth more than €1,5m and will be implemented in the production process in the next 18 months. The new PrintabLED technology is a UV-LED curing system that allows drying UV inks at low temperatures for a very short time. It will reduce the total energy consumption (gas and electricity) and produce a positive environmental result. The new PrintabLED technology gained Gold innovation award ‘17 PrintabLED is the worldwide leader in UV LED in Metal Print.
