Increased consumer loyalty with chilled glasses

A coveted Gold Star was awarded to Coors Brewers at the 2004 Starpack Awards ceremony. The winning pack in the consumer category was designed for the Grolsch Home Entertainment System pack, which, by containing an in-fridge rack, complete with six Grolsch glasses, was aimed at increasing consumer loyalty for the brand.

The packaging chosen was supplied by DS Smith Cartons – a tuck in end carton produced from FRÖVI CARRY. The Grolsch brands team aimed to create an image for the marketing for the glasses distinct from the Grolsch can and bottle retail packs. This was achieved with the combination of board and polypropylene together with the clear single colour graphics.

To provide rigidity for the carton, DS Smith chose 370 gsm FRÖVI CARRY board, which, with its high strength/weight ratio and overall strength characteristics provided a secure consumer pack. In addition, the high tear resistance of the Frövi material allows a plastic handle to be fitted through the apertures in the board and polypropylene layers to provide an easy suitcase style carrying feature. The Starpack judges thought the packaging created a stylish and fun gift pack.

So now Grolsch drinkers can chill out at home with the help of FRÖVI CARRY!
