Converting machine

Optima Group (Germany) has acquired the brand of Doyen Medipharm, a company specialising in converting and packaging machines with facilities in Florida, the UK and Malaysia. During the last decades, Doyen has supplied machines to world-leading manufacturers of wound dressings, transdermal patches, oral thin films, and surgical gloves. The Doyen staff will be employed by the Optima Group.

"This acquisition of Doyen Medipharm will benefit and enhance the entire Life Science Division of Optima," states current Optima Life Science managing director, Juergen Feyerherd.

Optima is a world-renowned manufacturer of innovative, filling and packaging machines since 1922 with 1,500 employees worldwide. With divisions in the sectors of nonwovens, pharma, consumer and life science, Optima has seen progressive growth throughout the recent years and is very pleased with this latest acquisition.

It is the intention of Optima to provide the world-class service by which they firmly stand behind. Not only did Optima acquire the name and rights of Doyen, but also the quality and pride of the existing employees. Outstanding service requires outstanding employees – the service technicians and engineers of Optima come with years of experience.

"Whether a long-time employee, or an employee coming to us with previous experience, we strive to enhance their knowledge continuously," states Juergen Feyerherd. "Our continued goal is to provide excellent products and service to empower success, and we look forward to a long and rewarding business relationship. Within the next couple of months we will personally be in contact with the customers to introduce ourselves and to introduce them to Optima."
