solvent-less laminator

Drupa being one of the most important platforms for print and cross media solutions, India’s largest flexible packaging company, Uflex Limited is all geared to show case latest technology stemming from its ethos of innovation to create value added differentiation for its clients all across the world.

LIVE demonstration of ELS (Electronic Line Shaft) based rotogravure printing machine; solvent-less lamination machine and Slitting machine will be quite prominently featured by Uflex during the event.

Solvent-less lamination is an environment friendly technique with negligible solvent retention thereby alleviating odour from the laminate. This technology is widely used for meeting the packaging requirements of food and medicine industry.

Ultrasonic edge guide with AC motor actuator is provided on both un-winders for correct positioning of the films to be laminated. Not only does this minimise rejection levels, but also ensure better film alignment.

Especially designed mixing and dosing pump is used for mixing the two component solvent-less lamination adhesive. This is a key feature of the solvent-less lamination machine as the desired mixing ratio is maintained with the help of servo driven pumps with controlled input. World renowned thermoregulation system is used for providing hot water for the rollers to maintain the ideal temperature required for perfect lamination. The attainable machine speed is 350m/minute.

There is no drying hood. The machine is quite low on power consumption and space requirement. This gives a clear cost advantage to converters in comparison to solvent-based lamination machines.

The solvent-less lamination machine will be quite a spectacle to watch out for at Uflex’s stand during Drupa along with its other exhibits.

Uflex will be at Stand No. C 51 in Hall No. 15.
