Uflex at Drupa 2016: Elastomer Flexo Printing Sleeves

leas laser sleeve making line, Uflex

India’s largest fully integrated flexible packaging company Uflex offers end-to-end line solutions to Flexo Printing industry both in the domestic and international markets.

The packaging major has recently commissioned state-of-the-art Elastomer Flexo Sleeve & Elastomer Flexo Plate manufacturing line ‘Lead Laser’ at its manufacturing facility in Jammu.

Sleeve making

Using the sleeves technology, fibre-glass pipes are covered with elastomer and then placed on direct Laser engraving using CO2 and YAG lasers. The finished sleeves are then slid onto the air mandrels of the flexographic printing machine.

Elastomer Flexo Sleeves: ‘The Advantages’

Joint Less Printing: Due to the cylindrical design of sleeve, the print repeat is seam less resulting in joint less printing, similar to Gravure.

Exact Dot Reproduction: The elastomer material produces flat surface flexo dots at the top. These dots don’t get deformed by the press force during printing. As a result, exact dot image gets transferred on the substrate.

On display at Drupa 2016 will be elastomer flexo sleeves from Uflex that have added a whole new dimension to the printing industry enhancing the overall flexible packaging experience.

Uflex will be in Hall No. 15 at Stand No. C 51.
