July 2021 has seen decrease of 14.25% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 4.79% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering an increase of 1.28% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 38.54% in July 2021, a 0.68% growth over the previous month. Computer and Information Research Scientists came in next, claiming a share of 26.04% in July 2021, marking a 354.55% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 14.06% in July 2021, a 1.82% drop from June 2021.

Top five packaging companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 126.92% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s packaging industry during July 2021 over previous month.
Fujitsu General posted 95 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a an increase of 2275% over the previous month, followed by Carrier Global with 26 jobs and a 21.21% drop. British American Tobacco with 25 IT jobs and Coca-Cola Amatil with 18 jobs, recorded a 66.67% growth and a 100% increase, respectively, while Unilever recorded a 23.53% decline with 13 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s packaging industry
Philippines commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 28.39% share in July 2021, an 890.91% rise over June 2021. India featured next with a 22.4% share, down 14.85% over the previous month. China recorded an 11.98% share, a drop of 48.89% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.54%, up by 17.31% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 19.53% share, a decline of 10.71% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 16.93% share, up 75.68% over June 2021.
