China packaging industry registered a 5.9% decline in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 9.43% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.71% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 0.55% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 96.55% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China packaging industry in June 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.83% in June 2021, a 40.91% drop over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 20.69% share, decline of 40% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 17.24%, registering a 41.18% decline from May 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 10.34%, down 60% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in China IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 23.68% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China packaging industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
Carrier Global posted 10 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a drop of 70.59% over the previous month, followed by Avery Dennison with 6 jobs and a 200% growth. Signify with 5 IT jobs and Mars with 4 jobs, recorded a 150% growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Shanghai Jahwa United recorded a flat growth with 4 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.69%, down by 53.41% from May 2021. Entry Level positions with a 15.52% share, a growth of 50% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 13.79% share, down 38.46% over May 2021.
