Mexico packaging industry registered a 20.9% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 10.21% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.61% share in July 2021, recording an increase of 0.81% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Mexico packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.08% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico packaging industry in July 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 42.31% in July 2021, a 29.41% growth over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 23.08% share, an increase of 50% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 21.15%, registering a 57.14% rise from June 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 5.77%, up 200% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in Mexico IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 68.18% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Mexico packaging industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
PepsiCo posted 18 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 63.64% over the previous month, followed by Colgate-Palmolive with 8 jobs and a flat growth. Fomento Economico Mexicano SAB de CV with 5 IT jobs and Nestle with 3 jobs, recorded a 28.57% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while British American Tobacco recorded a 200% increase with 3 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 67.31%, up by 25% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 17.31% share, a growth of 350% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 15.38% share, up 33.33% over June 2021.
