Switzerland-based company Nestle’s IT hiring declined 7.5% in July 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 0.61% in July 2021 when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 3.46% share in the company’s total hiring activity in July 2021, and recorded a 0.17% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Nestle IT hiring in July 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Nestle, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 31.58% in July 2021, and a 50% drop over June 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 21.05% in July 2021, and registered a 46.67% decline. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 18.42% in July 2021, a 16.67% rise from June 2021.

North America drives IT hiring at Nestle

North America emerged as the leading region in the global packaging IT hiring activity in July 2021 with a 44.74% share, which marked a 30.77% growth over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 36.84%, registering a 50% month-on-month decline. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 10.53% share and a 42.86% drop over June 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 5.26% and a month-on-month flat growth. Middle East & Africa stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 2.63%, registering a 66.67% drop over the previous month.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 26.32% share in July 2021, an 11.11% growth over June 2021. Ukraine featured next with a 13.16% share, up 400% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 10.53% share, an increase of 300% compared with June 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead Nestle IT hiring activity in July 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.16%, down by 31.43% from June 2021. Entry Level positions with a 26.32% share, a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with 10.53% share, down 50% over June 2021.
