August 2021 has seen an increase of 16.41% in the overall hiring activity when compared with July 2021.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in August 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 50.11% in August 2021, a 16.21% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 15.6% in August 2021, marking a 26.95% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 13.61% in August 2021, a 69.72% rise from July 2021.

Top five packaging companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 38.34% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s packaging industry during August 2021 over previous month.
Ball posted 233 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered an increase of 5.91% over the previous month, followed by Peloton Interactive with 52 jobs and a 92.59% growth. Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 51 IT jobs and British American Tobacco with 49 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 145% rise, respectively, while JBS recorded a 4.35% increase with 48 job postings during August 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s packaging industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 93.16% share in August 2021, a 23.03% increase over July 2021. Mexico featured next with a 4.56% share, up 10.71% over the previous month. Canada recorded a 2.28% share, a drop of 16.22% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.97%, up by 18.95% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 23.03% share, registered a growth of 32.63% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 21.34% share, up 14.62% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.66%, recording a month-on-month growth of 80%.
