Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in North America with a share of 47.05% in June 2021, a 1.13% growth over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 16.03% in June 2021, marking a 7.8% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 13.08% in June 2021, a 0.8% drop from May 2021.

Top five packaging companies in North America’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 13.67% in the overall IT recruitment activity of North America’s packaging industry during June 2021 over previous month.
Ball posted 195 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a an increase of 5.98% over the previous month, followed by PepsiCo with 34 jobs and a 61.9% growth. Coca-Cola Consolidated with 31 IT jobs and Columbia Sportswear with 29 jobs, recorded a 55% growth and a 16% increase, respectively, while Under Armour recorded a 3.57% decline with 27 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in North America’s packaging industry
The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 92.72% share in June 2021, a 0.79% decline over May 2021. Mexico featured next with a 3.69% share, flat growth over the previous month. Canada recorded a 3.59% share, a drop of 27.66% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 54.01%, down by 24.82% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 25% share, a growth of 41.07% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 20.46% share, up 64.41% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.53%, recording a month-on-month growth of 400%.
