The top five companies accounted for 7% of patenting activity
Analysis of patenting activity by companies shows that LG filed the most environmental sustainability patents within the packaging industry in Q1 2024. The company filed 19 environmental sustainability-related patents in the quarter, compared with 47 in the previous quarter. It was followed by Nestle with 14 environmental sustainability patent filings, Dai Nippon Printing (10 filings), and Stora Enso (10 filings) in Q1 2024.
