The value marked an increase of 166.6% over the previous month and a rise of 171.5% when compared with the last 12-month average, which stood at $841.61m.
Comparing deals value in different regions of the globe, Europe held the top position, with total announced deals in the period worth $1.89bn. At the country level, The Netherlands topped the list in terms of deal value at $1.87bn.
In terms of volumes, Europe emerged as the top region for packaging industry M&A deals globally, followed by North America and then Asia-Pacific.
