Europe was the fastest growing region for big data hiring among packaging industry companies in the three months ending June.

The number of roles in Europe made up 6.6% of total big data jobs – up from 4% in the same quarter last year.

That was followed by Asia-Pacific, which saw a 1.5 year-on-year percentage point change in big data roles.

The figures are compiled by GlobalData, who track the number of new job postings from key companies in various sectors over time. Using textual analysis, these job advertisements are then classified thematically.

The fastest growing country was Canada, which saw 0.5% of all big data job adverts in the three months ending June 2021, increasing to 2.7% in the three months ending June this year.

That was followed by the United Kingdom (up 1.9 percentage points), Brazil (1.4), and Finland (1.2).

The top country for big data roles in the packaging industry is the United States which saw 77.5% of all roles advertised in the three months ending June.

Which cities and locations are the biggest hubs for big data workers in the packaging industry?

Some 8.4% of all packaging industry big data roles were advertised in Westminster (United States) in the three months ending June.

That was followed by Fairborn (United States) with 4.9%, Broomfield (United States) with 4.7%, and Columbia (United States) with 4.3%.
