Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 38.6% in June 2022, a 22.62% drop over the previous month. Computer and Information Analysts came in next, claiming a share of 20.09% in June 2022, marking an 11.88% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 18.51% in June 2022, a 16.33% drop from May 2022.

Top five packaging companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 19.23% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s packaging industry during June 2022 over previous month.
Haier Group posted 62 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a decline of 18.42% over the previous month, followed by Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. with 45 jobs and a 37.5% drop. Panasonic with 39 IT jobs and PepsiCo with 24 jobs, recorded a 20.41% drop and a 20% rise, respectively, while Charoen Pokphand Foods Public recorded an 11.76% increase with 19 job postings during June 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s packaging industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 52.6% share in June 2022, a 27.19% decrease over May 2022. China featured next with a 19.19% share, down 4.49% over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 6.55% share, a growth of 38.1% compared with May 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 65.69%, down by 24.42% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.25% share, registered a decline of 14.88% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.8% share, down 15.22% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 2.26%, recording a month-on-month decline of 23.08%.
