Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 42.42% in September 2022, a 38.05% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 18.18% in September 2022, marking a 13.46% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 17.78% in September 2022, a 5.38% drop from August 2022.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 18.99% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s packaging industry during September 2022 over previous month.
Haier Group posted 79 IT jobs in September 2022 and registered an increase of 2.6% over the previous month, followed by Charoen Pokphand Foods Public with 64 jobs and a 12.28% growth. Panasonic with 35 IT jobs and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners with 18 jobs, recorded a 9.38% rise and a 1700% rise, respectively, while Carlsberg recorded a 41.67% increase with 17 job postings during September 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s packaging industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 50.71% share in September 2022, a 25.3% decrease over August 2022. China featured next with a 19.19% share, down 56.02% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 7.88% share, a growth of 44.44% compared with August 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.36%, down by 26.03% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 17.37% share, registered a decline of 24.56% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.45% share, down 57.81% over August 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.61%, recording a month-on-month decline of 25%.
