Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 49.02% in August 2022, a 63.64% rise over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 18% in August 2022, marking a 26.6% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 14.83% in August 2022, a 9.26% drop from July 2022.

Top five packaging companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 113.43% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s packaging industry during August 2022 over previous month.
Hisense Visual Technology posted 79 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Haier Group with 77 jobs and an 18.46% growth. Charoen Pokphand Foods Public with 50 IT jobs and L’Oreal with 49 jobs, recorded a 25% rise and a flat growth, respectively, while Panasonic recorded a 6.9% increase with 31 job postings during August 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s packaging industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 47.96% share in August 2022, a 14.44% increase over July 2022. China featured next with a 32.22% share, up 121.88% over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 4.84% share, a drop of 3.03% compared with July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 73.37%, up by 31.44% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 16.79% share, registered a growth of 3.74% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.23% share, up 56.41% over July 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.61%, recording a month-on-month growth of 300%.
