Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in February 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 59.24% in February 2022, a 31.02% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 12.92% in February 2022, marking a 32.65% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 12.72% in February 2022, a 45.45% rise from January 2022.

Top five packaging companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 61.38% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s packaging industry during February 2022 over previous month.
Haier Group posted 90 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered an increase of 3.45% over the previous month, followed by Panasonic with 59 jobs and a 43.9% growth. Masan Group with 30 IT jobs and Nestle with 30 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 900% rise, respectively, while Signify recorded a 78.57% increase with 25 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s packaging industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 49.9% share in February 2022, a 5.64% decrease over January 2022. China featured next with a 19.28% share, down 7.62% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 7.75% share, a growth of 18.18% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.59%, down by 26.28% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 23.86% share, registered a growth of 17.65% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 7.55% share, down 13.64% over January 2022.
