Ball’s IT hiring activity declines 15.3% in January 2022

US-based company Ball’s IT hiring declined 15.3% in January 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 9.07% in January 2022 when compared with December 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 15.8% share in the company’s total hiring activity in January 2022, and recorded a 2.92% decline over the last three-month average share.


Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Ball IT hiring in January 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Ball, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 38.19% in January 2022, and a 33.73% drop over December 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 34.03% in January 2022, and registered a decline of 12.5%. Computer and Information Research Scientists held a share of 13.89% in January 2022, a 23.08% drop from December 2022.


North America drives IT hiring at Ball

North America emerged as the leading region in the global packaging IT hiring activity in January 2022 with a 93.75% share, which marked a 23.73% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 4.17%, registering a 20% month-on-month growth. South & Central America was the third leading region with a 1.39% share and a flat growth over December 2022.

In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 0.69% and a month-on-month flat growth.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with a 93.75% share in January 2022, a 23.73% decline over December 2022. The UK featured next with a 2.78% share, up 100% over the previous month.

Entry Level jobs lead Ball IT hiring activity in January 2022

Entry Level jobs held a share of 52.78%, down by 26.21% from December 2022. Junior Level positions with a 31.25% share, a decline of 10% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 15.97% share, down 23.33% over December 2022.
