US-based company Ball’s IT hiring declined 3.5% in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity declined by 7.2% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

IT jobs claimed a 14.78% share in the company’s total hiring activity in March 2022, and recorded a 0.86% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Ball IT hiring in March 2022

Out of the total IT job titles posted by Ball, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 39.82% in March 2022, and a 12.5% rise over February 2022, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 38.05% in March 2022, and registered growth of 2.38%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 9.73% in March 2022, a 22.22% rise from February 2022.

North America drives IT hiring at Ball

North America emerged as the leading region in the global packaging IT hiring activity in March 2022 with an 89.38% share, which marked a 3.81% drop over the previous month.

Europe stood next with 7.08%, registering a 33.33% month-on-month growth. South & Central America was the third leading region with a 3.54% share and a 300% rise over February 2022.

The US commanded a leading presence in the region’s packaging industry IT hiring activity with an 88.5% share in March 2022, a 4.76% decline over February 2022. Serbia featured next with a 4.42% share, up 66.67% over the previous month. Brazil recorded a 3.54% share, an increase of 300% compared with February 2022.

Junior Level jobs lead Ball IT hiring activity in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 46.9%, up by 8.16% from February 2022. Entry Level positions with a 38.05% share, a decline of 8.51% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 15.04% share, flat growth over February 2022.
