Canada’s packaging industry registered an 11.5% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 7.32% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.14% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.29% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Canada’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.08% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s packaging industry in July 2022.
1) Computer and Information Analysts recorded a share of 57.69% in July 2022, registering a 36.36% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 25% share, a flat growth over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 9.62%, registering a flat growth from June 2022.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 3.85%, down 75% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in Canada’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 45.45% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s packaging industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton posted 12 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 71.43% over the previous month, followed by The Body Shop International with 10 jobs and a 25% growth. Goodfood with 5 IT jobs and Nestle with 3 jobs, recorded a 66.67% growth and a 50% growth, respectively, while Cascades recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.62%, up by 6.9% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 30.77% share, registered an increase of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.62% share, down 37.5% over June 2022.
