Canada’s packaging industry registered a 13.9% rise in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring increased by 4.24% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 2.23% share in November 2021, recording an increase of 0.27% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Canada’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.87% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s packaging industry in November 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 44.68% in November 2021, registering a 90.91% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 25.53% share, an increase of 200% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 12.77%, registering a 33.33% decline from October 2021.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 10.64%, up 25% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in Canada’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 242.86% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s packaging industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
Saputo posted 10 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Zebra with 4 jobs and a 300% growth. Maple Leaf Foods with 4 IT jobs and Cascades with 3 jobs, recorded a 300% growth and a 50% growth, respectively, while Lien Hwa Industrial recorded a flat growth with 3 job postings during November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 78.72%, up by 54.17% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 10.64% share, registered a decline of 28.57% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.51% share, up 300% over October 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 2.13%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
