China’s packaging industry registered a 17.7% drop in IT hiring activity in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.93% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.71% share in November 2021, recording a decrease of 0.53% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s packaging industry in November 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 78.43% in November 2021, registering a 51.22% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed an 11.76% share, a decrease of 50% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 3.92%, registering a 100% rise from October 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 3.92%, down 60% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in November 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 50% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s packaging industry during November 2021 over October 2021.
Haier Group posted 30 IT jobs in November 2021 and registered a drop of 58.33% over the previous month, followed by Lego with 4 jobs and a 42.86% drop. Proya Cosmetics with 3 IT jobs and Mars with 2 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 100% growth, respectively, while Ferrero Group recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during November 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 82.35%, down by 51.72% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with an 11.76% share, registered a decline of 45.45% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.88% share, down 25% over October 2021.
