China’s packaging industry registered a 0.5% rise in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 3.49% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.9% share in July 2022, recording a flat growth over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in China’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s packaging industry in July 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 59.14% in July 2022, registering a 12.24% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 23.66% share, an increase of 10% over the previous month.

3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 7.53%, registering a 22.22% decline from June 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 5.38%, up 25% over the previous month.

Top five packaging companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 19.12% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s packaging industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

Haier Group posted 60 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 3.45% over the previous month, followed by Shanghai Jahwa United with 10 jobs and a flat growth. Avery Dennison with 4 IT jobs and Lego with 4 jobs, recorded a 300% growth and a 20% decrease, respectively, while Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group recorded a decline of 25% with 3 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.42%, up by 2.86% from June 2022. Mid Level positions with an 18.28% share, registered an increase of 13.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 4.3% share, flat growth over June 2022.
