China’s packaging industry IT recruitment activity rises 26.2% in March 2022

China’s packaging industry registered a 26.2% rise in IT hiring activity in March 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring increased by 10.67% in March 2022 when compared with February 2022.

Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.93% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.72% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in China’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s packaging industry in March 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 86.81% in March 2022, registering an 83.72% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 6.59% share, an increase of 33.33% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 3.85%, registering a 250% rise from February 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 2.2%, up 33.33% over the previous month.

Top five packaging companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 78.02% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s packaging industry during March 2022 over February 2022.

Haier Group posted 146 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a rise of 71.76% over the previous month, followed by Jason Furniture Hangzhou with 4 jobs and a 100% growth. Lego with 4 IT jobs and Hasbro with 4 jobs, recorded a 100% growth and a 100% growth, respectively, while Mars recorded a flat growth with 4 job postings during March 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 80.77%, up by 70.93% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 13.19% share, registered an increase of 118.18% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.04% share, up 83.33% over February 2022.
