France’s packaging industry registered a 13.0% drop in IT hiring activity in May 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.96% in May 2022 when compared with April 2022.

Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 1.51% share in May 2022, recording a decrease of 0.1% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in France’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s packaging industry in May 2022.

1) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations recorded a share of 52.27% in May 2022, registering a 42.5% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 34.09% share, a flat growth over the previous month.

3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 9.09%, registering a 33.33% decline from April 2022.

4) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers captured a share of 4.55%, down 84.62% over the previous month.

Top five packaging companies in France’s IT recruitment activity in May 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 31.58% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of France’s packaging industry during May 2022 over April 2022.

Amcor posted 12 IT jobs in May 2022 and registered a drop of 40% over the previous month, followed by Nestle with 4 jobs and a 55.56% drop. Compagnie Financiere Richemont with 4 IT jobs and Groupe SEB with 3 jobs, recorded a 300% growth and a 50% growth, respectively, while Pernod Ricard recorded a decline of 50% with 3 job postings during May 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in May 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 52.27%, down by 45.24% from April 2022. Entry Level positions with a 43.18% share, registered a decline of 38.71% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 4.55% share, down 33.33% over April 2022.
