Germany’s packaging industry registered a 19.6% drop in IT hiring activity in October 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 14.06% in October 2022 when compared with September 2022.

Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.04% share in October 2022, recording a decrease of 0.51% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s packaging industry in October 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 40.3% in October 2022, registering a 50% decline over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 26.87% share, a decrease of 14.29% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 19.4%, registering a 7.14% decline from September 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 11.94%, down 79.49% over the previous month.

Top five packaging companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in October 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 24.14% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s packaging industry during October 2022 over September 2022.

HelloFresh posted 11 IT jobs in October 2022 and registered a rise of 83.33% over the previous month, followed by Ferrero Group with 8 jobs and a flat growth. Essity with 6 IT jobs and maxingvest with 6 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a 25% decrease, respectively, while Ardagh Group recorded a flat growth with 5 job postings during October 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in October 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.21%, down by 59.38% from September 2022. Mid Level positions with a 20.9% share, registered a decline of 22.22% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 20.9% share, flat growth over September 2022.
