Germany’s packaging industry registered a 7.6% drop in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 10.99% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.

Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.93% share in June 2022, recording an increase of 0.4% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s packaging industry in June 2022.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 48.68% in June 2022, registering a 37.29% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 22.37% share, a decrease of 5.56% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 18.42%, registering a 51.72% decline from May 2022.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 6.58%, down 66.67% over the previous month.

Top five packaging companies in Germany’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 9.09% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany’s packaging industry during June 2022 over May 2022.

On posted 12 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a flat growth over the previous month, followed by Fujitsu General with 11 jobs and a 63.33% drop. Nestle with 9 IT jobs and HelloFresh with 9 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a 12.5% growth, respectively, while Ferrero Group recorded an increase of 16.67% with 7 job postings during June 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 76.32%, down by 42% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with an 11.84% share, registered a decline of 43.75% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.53% share, down 33.33% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 1.32%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
