India’s packaging industry registered a 23.9% drop in IT hiring activity in June 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 17.75% in June 2022 when compared with May 2022.
Out of the packaging industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 10.4% share in June 2022, recording a decrease of 0.63% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in India’s packaging industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s packaging industry in June 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 35.19% in June 2022, registering a 32.23% decline over the previous month.
2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 26.61% share, a decrease of 16.22% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 20.6%, registering a 23.81% decline from May 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 16.74%, down 25% over the previous month.
Top five packaging companies in India’s IT recruitment activity in June 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 11.95% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of India’s packaging industry during June 2022 over May 2022.
Unternehmensgruppe Theo Muller S.e.c.s. posted 45 IT jobs in June 2022 and registered a drop of 31.82% over the previous month, followed by Panasonic with 39 jobs and a 20.41% drop. PepsiCo with 24 IT jobs and Charoen Pokphand Foods Public with 19 jobs, recorded a 20% growth and a 35.71% growth, respectively, while General Mills recorded an increase of 30% with 13 job postings during June 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 61.37%, down by 32.23% from May 2022. Mid Level positions with a 29.61% share, registered a decline of 18.82% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.15% share, down 33.33% over May 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 3.86%, recording a month-on-month increase of 50%.
